Through out those thirty years, the entire Maldivian nation have been despised him as a person and as president. Through out those thirty years the Maldives people have been desperately trying to find a way to depose him, get rid of him, one way or the other. But through out the thirty years, Maumoon has kept himself in power using force to the wrath of the nation.

Though his law practice is not reputed anywhere in the world including the Maldives, he is an ambitiously proud and self-deceptive man. He badly uses lawyer like tricks such as lying and playing with words to mostly deceive himself and few others around him. The worst thing is that no-one including himself believes anything he says. In the public he’s now known as the lier Nasheed instead of Lawyer Kutti. A Kutti is always a Kutti.
